Physical Store VS Online Store

Having a physical store is a grueling process, one that requires tons of patience and extensive planning. As of now, consumer shopping can be subdivided into two major camps — online shopping vs in-store shopping. In this blog, zoom on comparing a physical shop & an online shop.

Overcome Geographical Limitations

The physical store, you can only do business where you have set up your store in specific locations.  This is not the case with online store. For them, the whole world is their playground if planned strategically. People from one corner of the world can easily order a specific product from another corner of the world with a few clicks.

Cost-Effectiveness

An online store will have lower operational costs compared to a physical store. You won’t have the overhead cost of real estate and the associated costs of maintaining a physical location. In addition, inventory can be automated with a web-based management system and help to decrease inventory costs.

Physical retail stores have to pay up to thousands of dollars to rent one of their store locations. They also have several upfront costs such as store signs, store design, buying inventory, sales equipment, and more. Physical retail stores also have to pay staff to work and run each location. They may also need to hire security staff depending on the product value in the store.

Operation hours

The working hour for physical store restricted open for 8 to 10 hours every day. Online store provides 24/7 service where customers can shop 24 hours a day and seven days a week. This makes your store and products more accessible to consumers. Online store can also be accessed anywhere with internet capabilities. The 24/7 services of online stores are especially beneficial for working people who do not have the time for shopping during the day.

Visible

In a physical store, visitors can carefully look what material it’s made of & the quality of products. Some people also appreciate the proximity of a salesperson who will be able to advise and guide them correctly on the right purchases to make. Online store only can take a look from the screen.
